EXPLORING THE WORLD BETWEEN RACE + RICE
migrant workers in a paddy field in Goa, India by M. Sequeira 2012

Hi,
I'm Meg.
I'm a storyteller, and writing is how I navigate the world.
Fascinated by food and its history from a young age, I grew up in a South Indian Christian family in the Gulf, seeing the world through a unique mix of food and culture.I’ve been fortunate to experience how food and culture uniquely bring people together.
My writing focuses on the small moments where culture shapes identity, through rituals, beliefs, and traditions. Food, faith, and migration are vital threads that reveal memory, connection, and the politics of belonging.
This work is personal and political: acts of inheritance and resistance that ask bigger questions about power, identity, and care. For me, they’re the most honest way to tell a story.
